Kristian peppers boast a nice, spicy flavor with heat levels around 76,000 Scoville Units. It is a member of the Thai chili family and comes southeast Asia. Unlike the Cowhorn and the Rattlesnake Hatch, the pods are only 2-3 inches, so the inventory of sauce is small.
This pepper produced a mild to medium heat sauce. My wife, a light weight, said that it was a little above her heat level, but still not a killer. She picked up the fruit notes.
There is a delay of about 5 seconds, then a flavor reminiscent of a jalapeno without the sharpness. Then the heat begins to build on the tongue and fades in about 5 minutes.
